From 2017 UWA will adopt a new, simpler approach to our personal development review process.
'Staff Appraisal' (SA) is an improved process designed to better support staff development and performance, and to align these with the University’s Strategic Plan.
- Aligned to the University's business planning process (IPE)
- All Staff Appraisals will be completed annually between March and April
- A new user-friendly platform
When the new SA will be rolled out
Senior Managers have piloted the system in 2017. Following feedback around functionality of the new Staff Appraisal system, and to better align to the IPE process, the roll-out of the new SA process has been scheduled for May–June 2018.
Training will be offered in the months leading up to the annual appraisal process. Managers are also advised to attend the foundation module on feedback:

Accessing previous Personal Development Reviews
The old PDR system will remain live until 31 December 2017, but the site will be read-only. You will also be able to view all of your previous PDRs/PDAs in the new SA system if you need to refer to them.
